Attorney Murphy began his legal career as a Legal Fellow in Washington, D.C. for U.S. Senator Jack Reed (D-RI) and then served as a Judicial Clerk for the Honorable Maureen McKenna Goldberg, Justice of the Rhode Island Supreme Court.  After his clerkship, Attorney Murphy worked in the Boston office of Old Republic National Title Insurance Company as Title Counsel, engaged in title review and claims management issues.

Attorney Murphy then joined Home Loan Investment Bank, FSB, as Vice President and General Counsel, guiding the bank through a vast array of legal issues, ranging from complex class action litigation and settlement negotiations to trademark disputes and regulatory compliance.

After more than eight years as General Counsel, Attorney Murphy joined the prominent law firm of Adler Pollock & Sheehan P.C. and practiced in the law firm's Corporate Practice Group, where he further honed his legal skills in a large corporate law firm setting based in Providence and Boston.
